How many of you keep falling into old patterns? Old destructive behaviours?

How many times have you bought a self-help book only to find yourself still stuck in life?

How many times have you been in therapy, only to find yourself still on the therapist’s couch a year later, only with even less money?

How many times have you tried to find the answers through meditation, only to find yourself even more frustrated?

When you’ve tried all the self-help books, therapy and mediation, what’s left to try?

Thankfully, this is where life coaching comes in. Life coaching for me is not just about making the unconscious conscious; it is also about helping people move forward into positive action.

Sure, true fulfilment and joy are found on the inside…. or so they say.

But you probably aren’t going to find much fulfilment or joy by rocking up to a job you hate every day (whether it’s being chained to a desk or flipping burgers) whilst having barely enough cash to make rent each month.

Happiness for me is both an in - and - outside job.

Yes, change yourself, change your perspective, your beliefs, and your insides. But make sure you don’t neglect your outsides - your environment.

Us humans are affected as much as by our spiritual beliefs as much as we are affected by our surrounding environment.

If your environment is toxic, your recovery, your growth, your healing, will be much, much, much harder.

You wouldn’t grow vegetables near a toxic waste dump, would you?

Changing your environment can mean:

So whatever you do, never take any platitude like ‘happiness is an inside job’ as an absolute truth.

Generalisations taken to the extreme are rarely true.

Money won’t make you happy, but I’d much rather be miserable in a jacuzzi.

Thanks for reading this. If you’re thinking of working with a life coach for 2019, I’m your man.
