Depression is tough.
I have personally dealt with depression several times in my life. I have also treated clients with severe depression. Below are some resources I would recommend to assist your recovery from depression, in addition to consulting your doctor and a licensed mental health professional.
Guided Hypnosis
Guided deep relaxation and positive future visualisation can really work wonders for treating depression. I tend to use this with my clients - and it's also how the school of Human Givens Psychotherapy treats depression too.
A depressed brain is often a stressed brain - and deep relaxation can help to really shift your state. Sometimes, people's brains can get 'stuck' watching a very sad and bleak film of the future - and hypnosis can help to also break you out of the 'trance' of depression.
Work with a therapist (20% off)
Many studies show that psychotherapy can successfully treat and alleviate clinical conditions such as depression. And nowadays, you can see a therapist from the comfort of your own home, via video call.
Free Emotional Needs Audit
Often, what lies behind depression is one or more unmet emotional needs. This free Emotional Needs Audit (adapted from Human Givens Psychotherapy) can you help to identify what's missing in your life:
